I wanted to share some important updates about what’s happening at Celebrate Aotearoa. As many of you know, our store on Apirana Ave has been facing challenges due to ongoing roadworks. A handful of local business owners recently met with the Glen Innes Business Association (GIBA), Auckland Transport, and Downer to discuss the upcoming changes that will affect our area.
Currently, Apirana Ave remains one-way. However, the roadworks will soon shift closer to our doorstep. Specifically, construction will extend about half a metre from our window storefront with the removal of the footpath right outside our shop. While measures will be implemented to maintain customer access to all shops, the impact on Celebrate Aotearoa will be significant.
The proximity of construction work will drastically alter our day-to-day operations, likely affecting our artworks, product displays, and the overall shopping atmosphere. Given the extensive physical disruption and the mental and emotional strain it causes, I have decided to temporarily close our physical store during this construction phase. However, we remain dedicated to staying connected and ensuring our products are accessible.
We will open one day a week for click and collect—details of which will be announced on our social media channels. All other operations will continue online
