Mr. 4 Square, also known as Cheeky Charlie or the Four Square Man, is the iconic mascot of Four Square supermarkets. Created in the 1950s by Foodstuffs’ advertising department, he first appeared in print ads and posters before becoming a familiar face in Four Square stores across New Zealand.
